Ten years ago, two Quebec-born lawyers met not in a boardroom, but in Beijing, at the intersection of global ambition and personal reinvention.

 

One was a passionate cyclist, grounded by discipline and driven by curiosity — already practicing international law across continents. The other, a former competitive figure skater turned legal mind, was coaching in Australia while searching for an articling mentor to launch her career in immigration law.
